March 28-April 1

The 4th grade class continued its study of The Fertile Crescent  
(Chapter 3, Lesson 1) with one class beginning its study of The  
Hebrews (Chapter 3, Lesson 2). Students continued their outlines on  
The Fertile Crescent and reviewed with the teacher his outline to get  
a better idea of what is most important in the Lesson.

On Wednesday night students also completed the homework, which was to  
explain how nuclear power is made using information from the US  
Department of Energy "Kids" website and the help of an accompanying  
diagram. Students reported that some parents had trouble understanding  
while others understood and turned the tables, explaining it to their  
son or daughter. Everyone learned the basic concepts of how nuclear power is
produced.

This week 4th graders will have a busy agenda, completing In-Class #2  
on Tuesday (on Early Mesopotamia) and Quiz #1 (which will cover  
Chapter 1 and Chapter 2). Both exercises will be straightforward,  
based on the teacher's outline and the previous In-Class works,  
respectively.
